I'm headed up to the White Mountains of New Hampshire to do a bit of rock climbing and thought I would take one day to field test my new DeLorme Earthmate PN-40 against my favorite GPS, the Garmin 400t. I'll post the results next week. I'll compare accuracy, reception and usability. My Garmin 400t is by far the best GPS I've owned so far (and I've had GPS units going back 12 years) so I think the Earthmate will have its work cut out for it.
